From dpinte at itae.be Thu Aug 2 15:03:47 2007 From: dpinte at itae.be (Didrik Pinte) Date: Thu, 02 Aug 2007 15:03:47 +0200 Subject: w32 installer updated (v 1.2.1svn) Message-ID: <1186059827.5039.7.camel@ddp.simpson> Hi, I've updated the w32 installer so that it contains the extensions provided with Thuban. At the moment, the following extensions are available with the installer : gns2shp, bboxdump, mouseposition, svgexport, profiler and ogr. The file is available here : http://wald.intevation.org/frs/?group_id=6 Limitation : The 1.2.1svn version of Thuban needs no dependencies to run and thus contains only what it needs. So, if you have personal extensions that uses some of the official Python modules, those ones are probably not included in the Thuban binary and will not work. Please report any problems with this new version. Because of the limitations introduced by the frozen application in the new installer, what do you think about maintaining two versions for w32 : 1. the frozen one 2. the previous innosetup that requires a pre-existing python installation but allows the user to do exactly what he wants with the Extensions, etc. Didrik -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... If people come to develop for Thuban on windows, they will have more skills anyway. We should have instructions how to build both installers, so people can replicate their results. So I would put more time into improving Thuban than to maintain to versions (unless it is really really easy). :) Bernhard -- Managing Director - Owner: www.intevation.net (Free Software Company) Germany Coordinator: fsfeurope.org.
