MapIt! is a prime candidate since it is implemented in Python. It should be fairly easy to make a Zope product out of MapIt! if you are familiar with developing Zope products. But it would mean a fork in the development which should be avoided. It will be more complicated to keep a Zope product in sync with the actual MapIt! development. Ideas, comments, perhaps volunteers? The answer was basically what Jan had to say. Mapit! was written more with CGI and mod_python than Zope in mind (which is no wonder because I hadn't yet used Zope at that time), but I,too, think it wouldn't be difficult to get it to run with Zope. One problem will probably be that the form data is represented a bit different in Zope than in the standard cgi module, so the code in base/common.py may have to be changed a bit.
