Dear All,

Intevation is still hosting http://freegis.org/

Since it is outdated and only rarely used and due to increasing security
concerns regarding the outdated setup required for running it, we will shut
down the service in about two weeks (on Monday, May 15th, or a short time
later).

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please contact
me before that date.

makes sense to me. May I ask you how do you plan to use the domain name?
It would be a pity to leave unattended such a nice one.
