Numerous bug fixes and new features, but still some known (and presumably also some unknown :-) bugs. GRASS is a raster-based GIS, vector GIS, image processing system, graphics production system, data management system, and spatial modeling system. GPSMan 5.2 -> 5.3 Many changes (among these is real-time logging with a moving map) by the main author, Miguel Filgueiras, and several contributors. GPS Manager (GPSMan) is a graphical manager of GPS data that makes possible the preparation, inspection and edition of GPS data in a friendly environment. GPSMan supports communication with both Garmin and Lowrance receivers. MapIt! 0.6 -> 0.7 Few changes, but now a simple Installer for Windows is available. MapIt! is a web application that allows to navigate on rastermaps, zoom in and out, and to choose and identifiy objects (points of interest). gps3d 1.14 -> 1.15 A number of changes. gps3d is a set of utilities that lets you manipulate your GPS from your Linux/Win32 box, and visualize the output in 3D. You can access it from www.freegis.org It offers ~ 1km resolution (raster cell length). For watersheds etc. you can use GRASS GIS even linked on FreeGIS page. I am not aware of any higher resolution DEMs which are public *accessible*...
