Besides many other feature enhancements and bugfixes map printing and legend configuration has been dramatically improved (fill patterns come much better now, resolution of raster images is higher). By using custom fill styles with transparent png's allmost any thinkable fill style/hatch pattern now is possible. This finally makes Qgis a very usefull free tool for professional mapmaking/map printing since high quality printing output is absolutely essential for any (landscape)planner. Googling for some information about RT, I stumbled against your web-helpdesksystem. Without any login or password I was able to read all tickets. Comments included. If I wanted, it would have been possible for me to read some private info like all the e-mailaddresses involved. (That's why I'm using my hotmail-adres,BTW) I'm sorry, but to me this doesn't seemed to be very smart for "an intelligent consulting company". Please note that I do not wish you or your firm any harm. I just noticed it, was flabbergasted and wanted to get your attention on it. The Atlas-Geopublishing-Framework is a set of Java applications to simplify the publication of digital, multimedia and multi-language atlases. The Geopublisher application allows to compile geodata and multimedia content to digital atlases, while constantly supporting the creator in translating meta-information into any number of languages. These multi-language atlases can then be exported as readily runnable Java-Web-Start applications. They can be burned to a CD/DVD/USB-stick or published online without any further modifications. Geopublisher targets producers of geoproducts that want to distribute their findings without digging too deep into related IT technologies. Geopublisher is based on Geotools 2.4 and Java 1.6. It supports effective visualisation of large raster images as tiled image pyramids. Regularely updated versions of the Geopublisher application, as well as examples of atlases created with it, can be started directly via JavaWebStart from http://www.geopublishing.org/Geopublisher http://www.geopublishing.org/demo Programmiersprache: Java OS: Linux, Windows and Mac Homepage (german): http://www.geopublishing.org/Geopublisher Project homepage (english) with sources: http://wald.intevation.org/projects/atlas-framework/ -------------------------------------------- Managed by Request Tracker From rt at intevation.de Mon Oct 20 13:48:58 2008 From: rt at intevation.de (Request Tracker) Date: Mon, 20 Oct 2008 13:48:58 +0200 (CEST) Subject: [bug #5709] (freegis) AtlasStyler is a WYSIWYG OGC SLD/SE Editor Message-ID: <20081020114858.84B3C600943@lists.intevation.de> this bug's URL: http://intevation.de/rt/webrt?serial_num=5709 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: AtlasStyler is a WYSIWYG OGC SLD/SE Editor Und noch ein Projekt: http://www.geopublishing.org/AtlasStyler Einmal auf Deutsch: Der OGC Standard SymbologyEncoding (ehemals SLD) defniert eine XML Sprache zur Definition von karthographischen Zeichenvorschriften für Geodaten. AtlasStyler is a Java/Swing WYSIWYG application which simplifies the creation of these rules. The user can load point, line of polygon features (only ESRI Shape at the moment) and define their appearance in a userfriedly way. No XML or SLD/SE knowledge is required. The classbreaks for quantative data can be set manually or calculated with 'equal interval' or for a given number of quantiles. AtlasStyler is connected to an online database of open-source SLD/SE symbols and the user can save/load his own artwork locally.
